Providing information about translation and publication
of Japanese literature

  • Introducing high quality literary translators, editors and accuracy checkers.
  • Producing Japanese literature promotional tools aimed at overseas publishers
    (e.g. English PR material for use at international book fairs)

Supporting translators

  • Inviting translators to Japan to provide an opportunity to experience and understand contemporary Japan.
  • Providing news concerning Japanese literature and information on new publications.

Organizing J-Lit Seminars

  • Holding literary translation seminars by translators and scholars of Japanese literature.

Promoting writer exchange activity

Sending writers abroad, organizing their lecture tours, and planning exchange programs.
